Maxnificent! The polka dot Pyrenees ~ Dianne Burch
Maxnificent! The polka dot Pyrenees, by Dianne Burch, is an extraordinary book. A humorous story, this book teaches the children that everyone is unique in their own way and has special talents: making people laugh, being creative, artistic, musical, and more! We all have our own different personalities and we must appreciate that.
Everyone has unique talents, wisdom, knowledge, and inspiration to the world. We should never try to be like someone else to “fit in” or hide our true self and only come out of our shell when alone. We should appreciate others, too. But the most important part is to appreciate ourselves. Here are the top five quotes I have chosen that explain appreciating yourself more deeply than I have described it:
“The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself.” ― Mark Twain
― Lao Tzu
― Gautama Buddha
“You have peace,” the old woman said, “when you make it with yourself.” ― Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet in Heaven
― Dalai Lama XIV
I am honored to have such a professional review. So happy that you enjoyed the book and recommend it to others. I will also be recommending your review, because it is very inspiring and informative with your well researched quotes on self-esteem. Keep up your amazing work and keep changing the world!
This is what I commented on my post when I shared your review on the MaxNificent! Facebook page (before I knew you were each doing separate reviews):
We have a new review to share with you. I encourage you to read it – not because it says wonderful things about our book (which it does), but because the review was written by an amazing 11 year old likely with input from her equally amazing 10 year old sister. These two young ladies are a shining example of the intelligence our children have to offer when encouraged to share their thoughts confidently. If you have young children, you might want to check out their blog and share it together: https://www.whollyart.com.
Thank you, Thank you, Elyssa! and Elisha! Michael and I both enjoyed reading your review of MaxNificent! The Polka Dot Pyrenees. We are happy that you enjoyed the book and find it inspiring for others to read.
