A Year in Review and My Word for 2018: Passion

Happy New Year, everyone! As I look back on 2017, I feel that I’ve accomplished a lot and I feel at peace with my word for last year: Self-Improvement. I’ve done a lot of learning, growing, and improved a lot in the past year in all my important areas: Relationships, Education, Spirituality, Business, and Mental Health.

I’ve met many wonderful people in 2017, and more importantly, I have learned who my true friends are. I’ve come to know who is there for me. I learned to set my own boundaries, to lower my level of self-criticism. I have also gotten to know myself: my hopes, dreams, fears, and insecurities.

Also, in my business I have come a long way (woo-hoo!) We’ve gained followers, subscribers, sold I Love ME Books and spoken at several conferences. And don’t get me started on travel… we’ve been practically everywhere this year!

February, we went to the Disney Social Media Moms conference in Orlando, Florida. We love DSMMC and Disney World is always such a magical experience. I also ran a 5K in the Bahamas! Can’t wait to go in 2018!

September, I think was the best month for me in 2017. It was my 15th birthday (quince!) and there are some incredible people in my life who made it extra special for me ;-) . We also spoke at Bloggycon in Sandusky, Ohio, and had lots of fun at Cedar Point.

November, we went to Halifax, Canada, and I left a little piece of my heart there because we all fell in love with this beautiful province. We spoke there at BlogJam Atlantic. Then, we spoke at WordCamp DFW.

It’s been a successful, beautiful, and miraculous year. It hasn’t been perfect, trust me. I’ve had my share of ups and downs, but 2017 was a great year. Thank you for the memories and the ride, it had been a year to remember.

Now, on to 2018!

My word for this year, I’ve been thinking about it for a while now. I’ve decided on one word that I want to implement into my attitude even more: PASSION.

What is Passion for me?

“An intense desire or enthusiasm for something”

“A state or outburst of strong emotion”

I want to bring enthusiasm into every area of my life, as well as intense love to everything I do and everyone I meet.

This means I will bring passion into my business. I’ll be passionate in my relationships, which I’ll manifest with many words of affirmation and caring for the people I love.

I will also show my love and passion for learning with everyone, and take more care of myself. So, exuding passion will be my goal for 2018.

Here’s to a 2018 filled with PASSION, love, enthusiasm, and energy in all I do. Let’s make it a vibrant year! I’m so excited to share my journey with all of you.
